Sale On. Apprentice / Miniature Mahogany Dresser Base

Retirement Sale, sale price £495.00
Antique Apprentice / Miniature Mahogany Dresser Base.
Fabulous example of a miniaturized dresser base.
There is an ongoing debate as to the origins of these small items, they could be an apprentice piece, a salesman sample or a table top cabinet. No one really knows.
This dresser is constructed in good quality Mahogany, each drawer is oak lined with fine handcut dovetails & original blocks. Each drawer retains its original wooden handles. There are quarter coloums on each front corner & at the center recessed double doors. The sides are panneled which is a sign of quality. The base sits on original turned feet & retains the shaped back board. The back board is studded as can be seen in photo.
Good original colour & patination, a few minor marks on front right hand corner as can be seen in photo. We do not have the key.
Condition as described.
Size height to back board 16" approx, to top 12.75", length 24.50", maximum depth 9.50"
