Scottish William IV Mahogany Desk Chair

Circa 1830, good Scottish William IV mahogany desk chair. The stylish shaped splat has a gadroon carved top and flame mahogany veneers. Beneath this are two carved capitals from which the arms protrude. These continue down to finish in a scroll, supported by scrolling uprights. The chair has a drop in water silk seat pad. The back legs are square and splayed, and the front legs are turned and tapering finishing on an elevated toe. Good colour and very stylish.
