Offered for sale is this good set of ten Hepplewhite style oak dining chairs in excellent condition consisting of eight single and two carver chairs. In addition we have a pair of virtually identical single chairs that would make this up to a set of 12 chairs. The chairs are a mellow golden oak colour and date to about 1940. They are ex war department chairs manufactured to a very high standard with pegged mortice and tenon joints to a design by Edward Barnsley. The chairs have vertical splats over newly reupholstered drop-in supports on square supports. The set of twelve antique oak chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and waxed along with the seats newly reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric.We specialise in antique dining suites trading from our own showroom in Wokingham, Berkshire .
