A magnificent set of six antique Liberty & Co Lochleven oak dining chairs dating from circa 1900. A really good set of Arts and Crafts chairs with characteristic tall backs, solid and sturdy and in good condition. The moulded arched top rails and tall slatted backs on baluster and blocked frames, the seats newly reupholstered in a good quality soft red faux leather fabric. No labels, but these chairs are illustrated on p47 of the Liberty & Co Handbook of Sketches, 1889. Also detailed in Daryl Bennett’s book on Liberty antique furniture.
