Set 6 Victorian 19C mahogany walnut dining chairs
Antique set of 6 Victorian 19C Gothic mahogany (or possibly red walnut) dining chairs.
A great rare find, with fantastic proportions and Gothic styling.
Lovely colour, age, patina and charm.
A heavy weight chair, with no loose joints.
No significant visible woodworm.
A rare and sought after style of dining chair.
The upholstery is not new (or original), but it has little wear and no major marks.
Overall maximum dimensions
50cmW x 54cmD x 90cmH (46cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. The chairs have had historic repairs as you would expect...but all is good and solid now. The chairs have castors on the front legs (as is the norm.), which are old worn and dissimilar, as one would expect.
