Offered for sale is this superb set of eight Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs consisting of six single and two carver chairs and dating to about 1920. The high backed chairs have a shaped back rail with a pierced and carved centre splat above newly reupholstered drop-in seats on cabriole supports with ball and claw feet.The chairs are well proportioned and are a mellow brown mahogany colour, they are in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm and have been cleaned, revived and hand waxed with newly reupholstered seats covered in a neutral cream and gold fabric. Over the past 30 years we have sold over a thousand sets of chairs along with hundreds of dining tables to satisfied customers.
