Set Antique English Fish Cutlery by William Howe


A wonderful set of silver plated Fish knives and forks complete in their original Oak presentation box.
Each piece is marked for the silversmith William Howe and Co. of Sheffield. The inside of the lid of the case bears the retailer's mark for top notch Scottish silversmith, McInnes Brothers of Glasgow, with a Royal Warrant to the Prince of Wales.
The blades of each knife is beautifully decorated with an engraved fish amongst a variety of marine foliage.
The top of the case is mounted with a sterling silver presentation plaque with the silversmith's initials for McInnes Brothers and an engraved presentation message dated 1885.
Excellent condition, each knife measures 9" in length, each fork measuring 7 3/4" the box measuring 15 1/2" x 10 3/4".
