A rare set of 3 18th Century copper plate engravings by Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon. Buffon was born in Burgundy in 1707 and devoted much of his life to the study of natural history. The subjects are superbly drawn and the engravings are printed on original Whatman paper. They are beautifully hand coloured and are in excellent condition. The set has been tastefully framed to compliment the prints and to work in any interior.
