This is a set of 4 antique chairs. A Scottish, walnut suite of dining chairs, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1890.

Attractive, high quality seating
Displays a desirable aged patina
Walnut shows fine grain interest and rich russet hues
Quality upholstery with light marks, commensurate with gentle use

Upholstered over rail with gently scrolled shoulders
Turned, fluted stiles terminate in inset, carved frieze
Light, golden hues to the upholstery with contrasting sash pattern
Fine brocade trim adds further appeal

Cushioned, deeply buttoned backs with quilted stitching
Comfortable, sprung seat at a relaxing height of 47.5cm (18.75")
Gadrooned knees with tapered legs to the front - splayed, square section legs to the rear
Riding upon a pair of brass and ceramic castors to front legs
