Set of 6 Victorian mahogany rush dining chairs
Antique set of 6 19th Century Victorian mahogany rush seated dining chairs.
These are heavy quality chairs and the wooden components are solid with no loose joints.
It is rare to find a complete quality set of period chairs such as these.
The chairs have the most lovely shape, colour, age and patina. The chairs could be a different type of hardwood, but we think that they are mahogany (and certainly appear to be).
Overall dimensions
Chair 480mmW x 480mmD x 915mmH (440mmH seat when sat on).
There is evidence of some historic damage and repairs as one may expect given the age of the chairs. Three of the rush seats have been replaced (the edging strips have been removed).
