Set of Eight Chippendale Style Dining Chairs
A lovely set of eight antique mahogany dining chairs. We date these dining chairs to the late 20th century.
The set comprises six hand chairs and two carvers.
The chairs sit on two square section legs at the front and two square section slightly splayed legs at the rear. The chairs have an offset H stretcher.
The backrests have a lovely pierced splat back.
The seat pads are padded and are upholstered in lovely dark red velour.
The chairs are 38" (97cm) high with a backrest height of 19" (49cm), a seat height of 18" (46cm), a width of 21" (53cm) and a depth of 16.5" (41cm).
The carver is 39” (99cm) high with a backrest height of 21” (54cm), a seat height of 18" (46cm), a width of 24" (61cm) and a seat depth of 17.5" (45cm)
This lovely set of dining chairs remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some minor indentations and wear to the finish and edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant set of dining chairs. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
