Set of Six Continental Oak Dining Chairs Art Deco
This attractive set of six vintage dining chairs date from around the 1920s/1930s. We believe them to be of continental (North European) origin. The chairs have what we believe to be oak frames with shaped back-splats. They have seat pads upholstered in a brown leatherette material, which looks to be original. They are supported on tapering legs with rounded feet.
Condition: Overall this attractive set of chairs are in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and they are overall a little faded. There is some staining and scufffing, and some heavy staining to the front rail of one chair. The chairs are solid with only minimal movement in the joints. Some of the seats are a little sunken and the leatherette upholstery has some marks, grubbiness and wear. There are a few areas of minor wood loss in places.
