A lovely set of six Victorian rosewood dining chairs. We date these chairs to the late 19th century.

The chairs sit on bowed legs at the front and backward curved oblong section legs at the rear.

The backrest is ornate and has a lovely carved horizontal centre rail.

The seat pads are upholstered in a pale blue fabric finished with matching braid.

The chairs are 34" (87cm) high with a backrest height of 15" (39cm), seat height of 18.5" (47cm), seat width of 18" (46cm) and a seat depth of 16" (41cm).

This lovely set of Victorian carved balloon back dining chairs remain in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some very minor usage marks to the frames and fabric from past use including some light indentations to the frame and feet. Two of the chairs have a slightly different design without the carved flower at the front of the seatpad.

This remains a very stylish and elegant set of Victorian carved rosewood balloon back dining chairs which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
