Silver and Tortoise Shell Handled Magnifying Glass
A most useful magnifying glass sure to enhance the finest of desk-tops.
The handle is made from English sterling silver inset with a glossy piece of period Tortoiseshell to the front with a simple pique inlay. The back of the handle is where the hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1926.
The glass is of course new, unmarked but most probably by Hilkinson, creating a very usable magnifier, without damage and with a good magnification.
Excellent condition, measuring 6 1/2" in length, with a glass diameter of 2 1/2".
