This is a fabulous Solid silver Golf Trophy, standing c8" inch to the top of the finial on the lid. It is finely engraved for " The Morrison Cup - Muthaiga Golf Club ". Fully hallmarked for James Fenton of Birmingham Assayed in 1954. Standing on a dark base, it is a substantial piece with 3 handles and a lid to the top. The rich Colonial history of Muthaiga Golf Club is fascinating - established by Archie Morrison (rumoured to be the richest man in England) in 1913, it remains today as one of the worlds finest golf clubs.
