Silver pair cases, verge - Ward, London 1788


MOVEMENT Fully signed and numbered (354). Gilded verge movement with engraved and pierced balance cock. In excellent, clean, original condition and running well.
DIAL 37.5 mm. White enamel. Very good condition, with just a few surface scratches. Nice matching gold hands.
INNER CASE 42.5 mm. Fully hallmarked for London, 1786, maker MR. Very fine condition. High dome bull's eye crystal also in fine condition. The hinge is good and the case snaps shut nicely.
OUTER CASE 50.5 mm. Matching hallmarks to the inner. Again in very good condition with just one light bruise on the back and a little wear to the catch button. The hinge is fine.
Robert Ward is listed in London from 1768 until 1808.
