Silver Plate & Mother of Pearl Fruit / Desert Set
A fine and untouched boxed set of twelve fruit / desert knives and forks dating to around 1890, over 125 years old, this set has clearly been tucked away for all of these years looking as good today as the day it was made.
The knives and forks are beautifully decorated and all fully marked by the silversmith, Robert Fead Mosley. The handles are all made of solid carved and polished Mother of Pearl shell or Nacre with a wonderful shiny patina showcasing it's magical iridescent qualities. The mahogany case is too in immaculate condition and comes with it's original working key.
Excellent condition, each knife measuring 8" each fork measuring 6 3/4" and the case measuring 11 1/2" x 9" x 2 1/4".
