Silver Plated Ice Bucket / Pail and Tongs c.1900
A handsome ice bucket or pail, int he form of a coopered bucket with a folding swing handle.
The original drainer is intact, sitting inside on a little ridge allowing any melted ice to fall through to the base, keeping the ice dry.
The underside of the bucket is fully marked for the well renowned silversmith, William Hutton and Sons. The ice bucket comes complete with a lovely pair of period claw ice tongs made by another top silversmith, Mappin and Webb of London and Sheffield.
Excellent condition dating to c.1900 ready to adorn the finest bar or cart. The bucket has a top diameter measuring 5" and 5 1/2" tall or 8 1/4" tall to top of handle. The tongs measure 6" in length.
