A fine quality Solid Silver pocket watch with large sweep second hand with full Hallmarks for Chester 1897 working well and keeping good time , Silver case all good , case hinge all strong no repairs , White enamel dial in excellent condition no cracks or chips, still with original bezelled edge watch glass ,back numerals and blue steel hands
Watch movement very keen and made by Alexander of Coventry one of the best watchmakers of the period
The catch on the side of the watch is not working to stop the larger sweep second hand
This is very common problem with these watches , and only a problem if you required the stop start action
The watch comes in the JW Benson watch box in fairly good condition , Black lined, this watch could well have been sold by retailers Benson of London

Watch size 52 mm diameter , nice to have the Chester Hallmarks
