Good set of 6 late Georgian oak dining chairs c.1810. The design is a country vernacular interpretation of a Chippendale chair. Flared backrest with a shaped top rail and baluster silhouette back splat. Over simple board seats raised on square legs, joined with stretchers to all four sides. Excellent colour and condition, two of the chairs have earlier bar bolts connecting the top of the front legs to the rear stiles. Solid and sturdy, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
