Diminutive little early 20th.c. French semainier chest of drawers c.1930. So called because it has seven drawers, one for each day of the week. Just 16½” wide, original marble top with shaped corners over seven small drawers with symmetrically arranged kingwood veneered fronts and ormolu escutcheons. Ormolu mounts at the shoulders, the sides are veneered to match the front, shaped apron and feet with further ormolu mounts. Oak drawer sides. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
