Small Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Kneehole Desk
We have for sale a very usefully sized small Edwardian mahogany inlaid and crossbanded kneehole desk.
This bow fronted desk, with its original inset green leather top, has a single central drawer and two deep side drawers, all of which are fitted with their original handles. The top of the desk is bordered with inlaid satinwood. The drawer fronts are all crossbanded and the side drawers are also inlaid with satin wood fan designs to their corners. The desk is supported by four tapered legs, with those to the front inlaid with satinwood stringing.
The desk is 39 inches wide (99cm), 19.75 inches (50cm) deep and 30 inches (76 cm) high. This is a desk that is small enough but functional enough to fit into any room.
The desk is in a good to very good unrestored condition. Needless to say the leather top is attractively aged and faded and the body of the desk has a few marks commensurate with its age including some minor rubbings and some slight losses of inlay at the corners of the drawers.
