Small French Empire console table with marble top console table empire french empire %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Super quality early 19th century French mahogany Empire style console table with all original brass mounts and grey marble top.
This console is a really lovely mid size, making it ideal for a smaller hall piece, but also will fit in amongst other antique furniture easily.
Good mahogany grain to the top frieze drawer and a beautiful rich colour which sets off beautifully with the brass mounts. Useful full width drawer too.
Pair of turned columns capped with further brass mounts, again original.
Originally, there would have been a mirror fitted to the open back, but this has long since gone. I may look into sourcing an old mercury mirror plate and fitting it, or if you would like one fitting and I haven't yet done so, please say!
Measuring:
34 1/2” or 88cm high
31” or 79cm wide
15 1/4” or 39cm deep
