A Small and Original George III period oak and mahogany crossbanded 8 Day Longcase antique clock.Silvered engraved dial with 'penny moon' to the centre.Date aperture and seconds count.Gilt spandrels to the corners.Made by Samuel Collier of Eccles(Manchester).c.1790.Shaped top crossbanded door flanked by quarter turned mahogany columns.Turned pillars to the moulded cornice hood.Laquered glass panel to the top.Stands on small bracket feet.Good proportions measures 6'7"high.Strikes on a bell to the hour.Full working order.
