A handsome chest on stand with three short over three long featherbanded drawers and three additional short drawers in the stand. The whole with rounded mouldings and of first phase construction. A very good colour to the walnut, these are original thickly cut veneers and the drawers retain their original oak linings.

Brasses are replacements but are of good quality and have age.

Backboards are replaced to both chest and stand. Stand is in our view part 18th century and part 19th in and this is reflected in our price.

As with all period antique furniture it will have had repairs and restorations during its life.

This is a solid, usable and very handsome chest of small proportions with a most attractive well developed colour to the walnut.

Dimensions are:

40 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 61 inches high.
