Small Library Mantel Clock by Price of London


A delightfully small rosewood mantel antique clock by W. R. Price of London. Unusually with the actual date of manufacture engraved on the dial - 1825.
The movement is of the single chain fusee type and features an anchor escapement. The pendulum can be fixed in position for transportation purposes using a brass screw.
The rosewood veneered cabinet work has extensive brass inlay to the front elevation and fish scale sound frets to the sides. The escapement can be viewed through the bevelled glass to the top of the case. Standing on four solid rosewood bun feet.
A highly desirable and small library antique clock, perfect for a mantelpiece or study.
