Small Mid 18th Century English Linen Press

A Very Fine Mid 18th Century English Mahogany Linen Press of Desirable Small Size.
Of extremely fine proportions, this beautiful linen press or wardrobe is of unusually small and desirable size but with the depth one would expect from any piece of this sort from this period. The piece retains a wonderful original surface with a finely developed patina and excellent variation of colour-all of the things a connoisseur looks for in a piece of English antique furniture.
This piece retains all of its original slides and they are beautifully made in solid oak. The doors are panelled, there is a dentil cornice and the piece stands on very finely shaped bracket feet. The three finely graduated drawers retain their original gilt brass swan's neck handles.
This is an extremely superior example of a George III linen press, suitable for both the collector and someone who wishes to furnish their home.
