Small Welsh 18thC Primitive Elm Pig Bench
A superb 18thC Welsh Elm pig bench of sturdy primitive construction and highly sought after small size. Solid and stable with the most wonderfully figured timber and tactile rustic surface.
Original throughout with gorgeous pale colour and age related wear. This particular example having traditional chamfered legs. It would look great in a modern house, minimalist flat, coffee shop or high end retail outlet as much as it would a traditional farmhouse or country cottage. Some age related worm holes which we have fully treated which will also protect it for decades to come.
Forever popular with interior designers and country stylists these make the most decorative and practical Coffee Tables.
These are always quite rightly sought after items, pig benches usually being of pine, to have a superior timbered elm example with such beautiful colour is very special indeed.
