Small Welsh Oak Primitive Cricket Table c1720
A very good early Welsh Oak Primitive Cricket Table of rare and highly sought after small proportions. This stunning table has everything you would look for in an early piece of Welsh oak. The surface and skin are just incredible with colour and patina as good as can be found. Dating from around 1720 it is a particularly early example brimming with character. Original throughout with every component made from the very best Welsh oak, standing at full original height and without losses or replacements is it in remarkable condition. A gorgeous historic blacksmith repair to one leg is a fantastic addition to this very special piece which only serves to elevate its appeal.
Small proportions are something we are often asked for in Cricket Tables and this one doesn’t disappoint being about as small as you find them with undertier shelves.
All in all one of the best early Welsh Oak Cricket antique tables you are likely to find.
