Solid Oak Small Carved Blanket Box Jacobean Style

This attractive carved blanket box dates from approx. the 1930s, but is older in style. It is constructed from solid oak and is of heavy construction and excellent quality. It would make a nice hall seat and is of nice small proportions. The blanket box has has hinged planked top with a large overhang. It has a carved front panel very much in the Dutch and Jacobean styles and is supported on square legs. It is a well-made piece.
Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. The top has a worn patch and is very slightly warped, meaning that it does not quite sit flush.
The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 48.5cm high, 91.5cm wide, 36cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
