A Georgian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and original brass central finial. Marquetry and parquetry shell inlays to the case. A long engraved silvered dial. The main dial is engraved 'G SORDELLI, LONDON'. Circa 1820.
G Sordelli of 23, Baldwin Gardens Holborn, London is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1820.
