Pair of Victorian Staffordshire figures by the Parr manufactory of Don Quixote and his sidekick Sancho Panza, c.1850. Brightly painted in colours all around. Reference Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875 Book 1 by A.& N. Harding figure 987 and 988.

Don Quixote measures 24cm (9 1/2") high, 19cm (7 1/2") long and 9cm (3 1/2") wide. Sancho Panza is 19.5cm (7 3/4") high, 15cm (6") long and 7.5cm (3") wide.

Condition is very good but there has been some areas of professional restoration to Don Quixote: a professional repair to his left leg and his right foot has been restored. There may have been some re-painting of the black of the ears of Sancho Panza's horse but no restoration I can detect. A few small paint flake losses but surface wear in the main is very light to both. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
