Steiff Limited Edition 28cm Paddington Bear - Rare

A rare vintage "Limited Edition" Steiff 28cm Paddington Bear, unused and boxed. Paddington Bear is wearing a bright yellow Souwester, red Wellington Boots and a rain hat dated 2005. This is a Limited Edition Steiff (Germany) EAN 354311 Paddington Bear of number 01019 of 2,500 pieces only available to countries in the European Union. It's original Certificate of Authenticity is attached to Paddington's paw. Paddington's fur is made from blonde mohair. He is 28cm tall, jointed and has a gold - plated "button in ear". The gold button is present but is not visible in the photographs. Paddington Bear is the world famous star of the novels written by Michael Bond.
Continuing the series of Paddington Bear collectables, Steiff created this Paddington Bear unusually dressed in a yellow Souwester and presented in a large presentation box which unfortunately was damaged by a removals firm. This Paddington is in an excellent unused condition.

This piece is in excellent vintage unused condition with its original presentation box and it's original Certificate of Authenticity, attached to Paddington's paw.
The cardboard presentation box has been damaged by a removal company and brown masking tape has been used to secure the lid unfortunately.
