A good, gentleman's American Elgin, 16 size Pocket Watch dating from c1928.
This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order.
The sterling silver case was made by the American Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition, all covers screwing off and on smoothly as they should.
The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker Elgin.
The good quality, Elgin 15 jewel Lever movement is in excellent working order.
The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
