Strike Alarm Carriage Clock
A French brass cased striking carriage antique clock. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands and black Roman numerals with subsidiary alarm dial below. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. Movement backplate numbered 1250. A lever escapement. Marked to the dial 'Elkington' (London) as retailers. Circa 1880.
