An impressive and imposing antique carved tribal mask.

Probably West African and Nigerian in origin, circa early 20th century.

This is a relatively large example which benefits from an excellent surface patina, as shown, and with a plume of carefully hand-knotted grasses.

A striking piece and would today make a superb piece of a wall art.
