A beautiful mid 19thC Welsh tall elm and beech stool. An original piece from the Foundry Arms tavern in North Pembrokeshire.
Featuring a wonderfully grained single slab saddled elm seat supported a quality turned beech base with attractively worn stretchers.
In exceptional condition, original throughout with superb colour and patina.
This stool was the Landladies and stood behind the bar of the Foundry Arms during it's entire opening. The traditional Welsh tavern closed in 1992 and was renowned for being ran by four generations of Landlaides from the same family.
