A stunningly beautiful early 19th Century Welsh Oak Linen Press cupboard of superb quality from Llangwyryfon Ceredigion. Of desirable small size and plesant proportions.
Featuring quality fielded panels and superbly figured oak throughout, with exceptional surface and colour. Offering a large cupboard space fitted with two shelves over a pair of faux drawers above a large single drawer. Carved by hand to the front of the upper shelf the words 'Mary Phillips Trefoes & Brynda Llangwyryfon 1846' this most likely being the first owner of this wonderful piece. A wonderful looking piece offering extensive storage. A perfect example of Welsh oak in exceptional original condition.
Overall height 5ft 5" = 165cm Maximum width at cornice 4ft 9" = 146cm Width of base 4ft 7" = 140cm Depth of base 22" = 56cm
