Stunning Davenport Fancy Birds Trio 916 c.1830

A beautifully fun and frivolous early 19th century tea and coffee "trio" from the Davenport manufactory with brightly painted Sevres style fancy birds stood in the gilded branches of stylised trees and a similarly coloured butterfly to the centre of each. Fluted walls and the rims are shaped with moulded detail and picked out with a gilt dentil pattern broken with floral garlands. The outside of the cups has a simple gilt frieze and the moulded broken loop handles are also picked out in gilt. The cups have a rare printed mark and the saucer with the ribbon and anchor mark. All pieces also marked with the pattern number 916 in gilt. c.1830-1835.
The teacup measures 9.8cm (4 1/4") rim to rim and 5.5cm (2 3/16") high to the rim. The coffee cup measures 9.2cm (3 5/8") wide and 6.4cm (2 1/2") high and the saucer measures 15.6cm (6 1/8") wide.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. There is a small firing fault to the each cup handle. Very minor handling wear, just very slight rubbing to the decoration over the fluted ridges on the saucer. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
