Stunning Large Pale Pine Welsh Box Settle c1860
A beautiful rare antique Welsh Farmhouse Pine Box Table Settle of gorgeous form and highly sought after large proportions c1860. Constructed from gorgeous high quality pale antique pine throughout..
In exceptional original condition with lovely soft pale colour and grain. Having a very comfortable gently sloping back and perfect seat height. The seat opening into a box base offering superb storage.
The back simply folding down to create a fantastic scrub top kitchen dining table. Of perfect height and size for four people to use, the top being level and flat with no gaps to the boards and being lovely and clean and free from stains or damage. This rare example originating from Pembrokeshire and displaying traditional regionally characteristic sled feet which are hard wearing and aloe the settle to be moved with ease.
A much sought after piece of Welsh country antique furniture this settle is both strong and stable and suitable for daily use. An exceptional settle in every aspect and ideal for the kitchen, living room, fireside or conservatory. Table Settles such as this one are most often purchased by customers who now work a lot from home. The table being a perfect desk for the laptop and paperwork, quickly converting to a most beautiful settle. Also ideal for hobbies, crafting and homework.
