Stunning Pair of Large Cast Iron Garden Urns
This lovely pair of vintage garden urns are very heavy and are made from cast iron. The look to date from the first half of the twentieth century, although they may be earlier. They are of large proportions with a fluted design and flared tops. They are painted black and the paintwork is worn and weathered with significant age. They have a lovely patina. There are no maker's marks. Please note that they do not dismantle.
Condition: Overall this pair of planters are in good usuable condition but do have some wear consistent with age and use. They have an aged finish, and have the wear you might expect from a vintage garden items that have been outside for a number of years. The paintwork is worn, chipped and flaking with areas of loss. There is some surface rusting and corrosion. The urns are overall grubby and have some marking and staining.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
