Superb 1833 Sewing Box + Wonderful Provenance

This is a superbly crafted William IV sewing box made from black walnut and birds eye maple with brass inlay and gilt handles. The quality is evident in all of the details, from the delicate brass handles on the tray that recess to the gadrooned decoration on the top of the box. Other features include bun feet, maple and walnut inlaid lid and tray, as well as a key and working lock.
But what makes this box truly special is the story behind it. On the inside lid of the box is an inscription (shown in the photos) from the maker, Robert, to his sister Jane on her birthday on the 20th of December 1833. The next piece of the story is 53 years later, (as outlined in the letter), where Jane's husband offers the box as thanks and as a memorial for Jane to the Vicar of Cromford for the Vicar's work with children. This is a box with love and charity at its heart and is quite special.
There is a small tear in the blue fabric on the lid, but the rest of the box is in excellent condition.
