Superb Antique Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk
A fine quality burr walnut pedestal desk with inset leather top dating from the early 1900's.
This fine qualty walnut desk has an inverted moulded breakfront top with two crossbanded burr walnut panels flanking the central tan and gilt leather insert. The top containing three frieze burr walnut herringbone crossbanded fully oak lined drawers sitting above a pair of moulded cornered pedestals, each with three graduated burr walnut drawers and original brass fretted swan neck handles. This antique burr walnut desk is raised on carved ogee bracket feet and is freestanding with a veneered and polished back. This bears all the signs of being made by the famous cabinet makers Maple and Co. Of it's type you do not get better quality than this.
Having a lovely faded walnut colour this fine desk has been fully restored using traditional methods and is ready for use. Knee height 25 inches - 63.5cm
