Superb Edwards and Roberts Display Cabinet
Superb Edwards and Roberts Display Cabinet.
This stunning cabinet standing upon square tapered legs with spade feet.
The 3 Oak lined central drawers with wonderful Marquetry inlaid panels flanked by cupboard doors with oval floral marquetry panels.
The top section is of serpentine form with a floral marquetry frieze and floral marquetry to the uprights.
The top of the base also having floral marquetry inlays.
Features original key and handles.
Comes in 2 Sections.
The firm Edwards and Roberts were among the best English antique furniture cabinet makers of the second half of the eighteenth century. The company was founded in 1845 and by 1854 was trading as ‘Edwards and Roberts’, 21 Wardour Street, Antique and Modern Cabinet Makers and Importers of Ancient Furniture’.
