Superb quality early to mid 19th century French oval jewelry box in ormalu with felt interior. The top has a beautiful ormalu floral and scroll design around the central round portrait of a lady. The round hand painted portrait of a lady is very finely painted on porcelain and does have a feint signature to the right hand side. The top has a glass over the painting. The base of the box has a very nice moulded rope type design to the center. The original hinge is in good order. No damage at all.

A really beautiful item of the highest quality.
