Superb Large Signed Pair Of 19thC Satsuma Vases


A Stunning Large Pair of Beautifully Decorated and Signed Japanese Satsuma Vases dating to the mid-late 19thC.
Symmetrically decorated (mirror image) each featuring 2 large panels of decoration on a rich dark blue background with additional gilt decoration. One panel painted with 3 Japanese ladies and a child in a bamboo grove. The second panel painted with a large group of ~ 10 ladies & girls in a Japanese garden with lake, trees and mountains. The colours are wonderful.
A really superb large matched pair of Satsuma vases in excellent antique condition with no apparent damage or restoration (see photo for size reference to bottle of fizz). The usual fine age crazing in glaze.
