Superb Mahogany Partner's Desk
A very good George IV figured mahogany and inlaid partner's pedestal desk of the more unusual and desirable 18 drawer configuration ( 9 drawers to each side). The thumb moulded edged top having kingwood crossbanding with boxwood line inlay and a replaced top quality, hand dyed green leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The 18 graduated and cockbeaded drawers with conforming kingwood and boxwood inlay and good quality cast brass ring handles and escutcheons. The offset moulded plinth bases with hidden casters. Mahogany lined, with working locks and keys and ready for use in the home or office.
