Superb Trompe l'oeil Oil Painting William Clayton
Stunning Quality Trompe l'oeil Oil Painting. Fantastic realism from this quality artist - attributed to Bill Clayton of Nottingham. I personally knew Bill and I purchased this with another which is also for sale, this example does carry a full signature and date.

I personally knew Mr Clayton and he would often come into the local Antiques Centre where he would purchase items for his next commission, may be even this one? He was a very friendly person and also had a great passion for our local football club. His works are exhibited at:-
Nottingham City Museum and Galleries, Coventry City Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Also many paintings sold by Christie's of London and Sotheby's of London
