A superior quality Victorian burr and figured walnut 2 door pier cabinet. The burr walnut top with a marquetry inlaid cushion moulded frieze and protruding canted corners. The 2 glazed doors having boxwood line inlay with ormolu rosettes, beading and escutcheons. The canted corners with further boxwood marquetry and fine pierced ormolu mounts. The ends with matching inlay and the whole standing on an ormolu mounted and inlaid plinth. The mahogany lined interior with 2 adjustable walnut and inlaid faced shelves. This cabinet is in superb original condition with particularly good quality ormolu mounts which retain their original gilding. With working lock and key. Sizes- Max.width...54''...137cm. Max.depth...15''...38cm. Height...42''...107cm. Interior shelf depth...10''...25.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. by 2 man carriers £75.
