Superior Quality Oak Roll Top Desk
A superb large oak roll top desk by the quality antique furniture maker Angus of London. The "S" shaped tambour opens to a particularly well fitted interior consisting of 14 box drawers,12 long drawers a single accounts drawer with a further 2 shallow drawers and various pigeon holes. All drawers with brass name/subject plates. This wonderful desk also retains the original green writing surface with conforming pull out slides.The base section with 2 oak pedestals each having graduated drawers with carved and gadrooned handles. The sides and back having very good fielded panels and the whole standing on solid plinths with casters. This wonderful desk retains the original working lock and key and when the tambour is shut all pedestal drawers are locked (central locking). Dimensions:- Width…60.25''/ 153cm. Depth...35''/89cm.
